Let's connect Stripe & PayPal to the Mango plugin, so you can start to accept payments. We'll also look at some additional settings along the way.

Feel free to watch the tutorial here or follow the written instructions below.

I'll show you how to get started - from entering your store name and selecting your currency to connecting your Stripe and PayPal accounts.

In the first input here, enter your company or store name.

You can select your store location here.

It's probably the same you selected when you signed up with your Stripe or PayPal account.

Here you can select the currency of your store.

Again, it's probably the same you selected when you first created your account with Stripe or PayPal.

Let's briefly touch on the remaining settings on this page and then look at how to connect your Stripe and PayPal accounts to Mango.

The Payment session expiration shown here gives you control over how soon you want a user's session to expire.

This is useful in case you want a user to be able to avoid having to re-enter his credit card details in the same session. The default is currently set to 30 minutes.

Remember that while testing, you can always clear the payment session on demand via the Mango menu on the preview page.

Let's say you want to completely delete the Mango plugin, then checking this box will remove any traces of Mango from your WordPress installation during the plugin deletion.

Careful, as it also deletes any database fields connected to Mango and no information will be recoverable.

image.pngThis next setting let's you avoid copying plans when switching between test and live modes.

Note, this applies to PayPal only. This could be useful if you're not yet sure you want to use a test plan also in live mode.

Stripe's copying of plans is handled from within Stripe.

image.pngBy enabling this option, you can save your customer's payment information when you only process one-time payments. Note, this applies to Stripe only.

image.pngIf one-click upsells is enabled, it allows you to charge your customers without requiring them to re-enter their credit or debit card details again at a later stage of the funnel.

This is proven to lead to higher conversions and increased average order values. Please note that shipping rates for one-time payments and upsells and cross-sells for subscription plans are not supported. This applies to Stripe only.

image.pngOkay, let's switch to connecting your payment gateways to Mango. Click here to start adding your Stripe keys.

image.pngHere are the fields you need to populate from your Stripe account. Be sure to copy and paste the correct ones for either the "test" or "live" environments as indicated on the right side.

Let's go and get the correct keys together from Stripe right now.

image.pngPlease open a new tab in your browser and navigate to the URL you see on screen. Stripe will ask you to login to your account.

212-2023-03-19-at-22.18.35@2x.jpgOnce you're logged in, simply click onto "Developers" shown here.

image.pngClick here to open your API keys.

image.pngOn this screen, you can copy and paste your 'Publishable' and 'Secret' keys into Mango.

If you do not have any keys shown here, make sure to click onto "Create a secret key" first.

The 'Secret' key is typically hidden so you'll have to click onto it to reveal it before you can copy it.

image.pngPlease make sure to also toggle to "Test" mode to reveal the corresponding "Publishable" and "Secret" keys.

Copy these also into Mango into the appropriate fields.

And that's it, now all of your Stripe data will automatically be linked with the Mango plugin.

image.pngSimilarly, if you are also using PayPal, then you should simply click onto PayPal API keys and navigate to PayPal's developer dashboard to grab your so called Client ID and Client Secret keys and enter them here.

image.pngBe sure to enter the keys into the corresponding Live and Test fields. And that's all you need to do!

You've now connected Mango with your Stripe & PayPal gateways, as well as set additional settings.

image.pngLast but not least, be sure to save your changes. That's it! You did it.
